Spring evening

Sunday

Eldest Sister and her kids did the visit today. For the first time in ages, their visit hadn’t coincided with Mum being at the peak of her Sleepy/Active cycle.

Mum was totally unresponsive for the entire visit.

Whatever it was that was ailing her, it had thrown Mum’s schedule completely off. My guess was that it would mean the end of weekend visitors seeing Mum doing anything other than sleep.

The GP surgery would be open on Monday morning so it would be worth the effort of doing an in-house dip test so the local doctor could confirm and prescribe whatever’s needed the same day.

Author’s Note

My Mum is in a nursing home in a small village in the Thames Valley. The photo is not of the home. I used an AI image generator to give the reader some idea of the home she’s in.

All, some or maybe even none (you’ll never know!) of the names have been changed to protect privacy and hide real identities. If you think you recognise someone then let me know and I’ll edit the post or remove it entirely
