Saturday
Mum was well into her latest sleepy phase today. Barely any response from her at all this afternoon. She couldn’t or wouldn’t wake up when Reggie came round with the afternoon meds. It was the same for when her tea was delivered. She had the usual queue of untouched drinks on her table. But Steve was content that she was comfortable.
I mentioned to Reggie that when I last discussed her joining everyone for Christmas Lunch with Mum she’d given a tentative but positive response. He said he would leave an entry on her notes for her to be asked again when she comes out of this phase.
Author’s Note
My Mum is in a nursing home in a small village in the Thames Valley. The photo is not of the home. I used an AI image generator to give the reader some idea of the home she’s in.
All, some or maybe even none (you’ll never know!) of the names have been changed to protect privacy and hide real identities. If you think you recognise someone then let me know and I’ll edit the post or remove it entirely
