Sunday
Cousin Sue visited Mum as promised today and I took the day off.
Sue described Mum as ‘vocal’ but she had as much difficulty understanding what she said as I do.
Mum was pleased to see Curtis and he was very popular in the main lounge. I think our dog is too ableist to be trusted near people who walk oddly.
Apparently Mum complained of having a sore arm. This wasn’t the first time. I think Mum sits with her arms pulling the blanket up tightly round her neck and her left elbow locks.
Hard to tell. Mum isn’t the greatest at describing what’s wrong with her.
Author’s Note
My Mum is in a nursing home in a small village in the Thames Valley. The photo is not of the home. I used an AI image generator to give the reader some idea of the home she’s in.
All, some or maybe even none (you’ll never know!) of the names have been changed to protect privacy and hide real identities. If you think you recognise someone then let me know and I’ll edit the post or remove it entirely
