As It Occurs To Me

By Nick Gilmore

This category is shamelessly stolen from cult comedian Richard Herring. His series of podcasts were recorded before a live audience in London on a weekly basis and were loosely centred around things that had happened to him or thoughts that had crossed his mind in the previous week. Either way, they were things that had occurred to him. See?

So this category will contain things that occur to me. Mostly, they’ll be triggered by something I’ve seen somewhere on social media that’s made me angry or sad. They’ll be things that need a bit more time and thought than is possible in a flame war on Facebook or Twitter.

Posts in this category are inspired by the Morning Pages concept developed by Julia Cameron in her book The Artist’s Way. However, they may not be written in the morning and they definitely won’t be every morning.

Enjoy!
